From retirement to "rewirement"!
When I retired after a rewarding and challenging 37-year career, I was shocked to realize that I didn't know what to do with myself - or with the rest of my life!
A Hatha Yoga Teacher course at a neighbourhood studio got me back on track. I then enrolled in the Life Coaching Certification Course through the Centre for Applied Neuroscience (a course I now teach). The CAN coaching philosophy combines principles of neuroscience and psychology along with those of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness.
Inspired by what I had learned about neuroplasticity, I turned my focus to ways of finding relief from my chronic muscle pain. I then discovered Gentle Somatic Yoga®. GSY restorative sequences significantly reduce stiffness, pain and postural imbalances and dramatically increase flexibility through brain-to-muscle re-education.
